The Full Story of Makeup Artist

Hi, I’m Inna Rakus — a makeup artist with more than 12 years of experience and a huge love for everything beauty. Since 2023, I’ve been living and working in Alberta, creating looks for amazing clients here in Edmonton. My makeup journey started over a decade ago, and during this time I’ve had the joy of working with brides, graduates, models, and people preparing for their most important days. For me, makeup isn’t just about colors or products — it’s about confidence, emotion, and helping someone feel truly beautiful.

Before coming to Canada, I opened three beauty studios — two in Ukraine, where my path began, and the third in Poland, where I worked with clients from different countries and cultures. Those years taught me a lot — how to see beauty in every face, understand different skin tones and styles, and always find the right approach for each person.

In my work, I care about cleanliness, quality products, and giving every client my full attention. I love learning, so I regularly take international courses, explore new trends, and improve my techniques. The best reward for me is seeing a happy smile after the makeup is done. Many of my clients come through personal recommendations — and that’s the biggest compliment any artist can receive.

Now, I’m entering a new chapter — opening my own Makeup School in Edmonton. It’s actually the third time I’ve opened a makeup school in my life, but this one is truly special — my very first in Canada. Here, I want to share my knowledge with others, help both beginners and advanced artists grow, and inspire them to believe in themselves.
